"The room was very good and the service was of a very high standard. As a tourist, the hotel is in a very good location. There is a bus stop a few steps away from the hotel, and the hotel is only a 3-minute walk from the National Theater National Railway/Metro Station."
"Definitely staying at The Thief upon our return to Oslo. Incredible customer service, comfortable beds, best water pressure I have have ever experienced with sizzling hot water! Incredible location! Walk everywhere! Dining and shops immediately outside the front door. Downstairs bar was super chill hang out with phenomenal cocktails. Sassy blossom was my favorite."
"Located in the center of Oslo, a few minutes walk from the train and national theater. You can buy tickets directly from the VY machine at the airport. The hotel is a historic European-style building. It is very beautiful. The breakfast is very rich and amazing. It is a must-try. The service staff is warm and friendly. It is one of the few hotels in Europe that provides toothbrushes and slippers. I will stay here again if I have the chance."

"It's far away from the city. I booked a family room. The sofa bed couldn't be turned on, and the phone didn't work. I had to go downstairs to find a waiter. When I checked out, the room fee was directly deducted from the credit card without asking any questions. Fortunately, I received a message and told him that I had prepaid with Ctrip, and then told me that I needed the approval of the boss before the room fee could be refunded. Let me wait a day or two. The only satisfactory place is that the breakfast is not bad."
"The hotel location was ideal and not far from oslo city centre with a metro station across the road and several bus stops very nearby.
Most of the staff were very helpful however there was one gentleman who appeared to assist but then no result to his said actions.
Additionally the first room he provided he stated would have view. The view was of the hotel from the window. The room he provided was unclean and filthy. We requested a change to our room with his colleague. She was very helpful and gave us a great room very clean room with a view of the river, but only thing is we had no phone in the room. We requested one but was told one would not available until later on the week. This was not beneficial as we were leaving.
The amenities were ok however the hotel had direct access to mini shopping mall which had some lovely coffee shops and general convenience stores, which was great. Therefore we did not eat at the hotel.
Overall apart from the above issues it was a pleasant stay and we extended it by a day which was a smooth process and we was able to stay in the same second room."
"Very old hotel. It was a weekend when I checked in. It was very lively. I really liked the bar downstairs. The environment was great! You can go there for a cocktail."
"Friendly staff at counter and restaurant; comfy room with a review (as shown in the photo) ; I successfully booked a room near the airport but later I was refunded as I was told it was fully booked by a. Trip.con staff - which was not a very good experience. Luckily I found this hotel as I was totally satisfied."
"The hotel is situated in the center of Oslo City Center near the central train station and bus central station as well. It’s very convenient to go sightseeing in Oslo and be the best hub to explore other cities in Norway. The hotel offers good facilities for example the pool and sauna on the 32 th floor. You can see the stunning superb view on 33 th Panorama view and sip drinks in the evening for relaxing. The hotel staff is responsible for taking care of the guests . We enjoy the food and wine appetizers for waking up the spirits in the morning breakfast. We think we love the good chain of Radisson Hotel in Norway and highly recommend!"
"Fully self-check-in. A link will be sent in advance. You need to download the guest app.
The entrance is relatively hidden. You need to carry your own boxes and climb half a flight of stairs to get into the elevator. The elevator is a bit small and it is a bit troublesome for those with a lot of luggage.
The room is a bit crowded but fully equipped. The furniture is very stylish.
There is a separate room for you to pick up the supplies. Slippers, toothbrushes, etc. are available.
It is a 10-15 minute walk from the shopping street, the pier, the castle, the opera house, and the Munch Museum."
"Located right next to the Central station, which was a massive lifesaver for us with 4 pieces of luggage on icy snowy road.
We were able to check in earlier than 3pm and were quickly greeted with a clean and spacious room, complete with all basic amenities that you would expect to be provided including a kettle.
Another highlight was the breakfast, with a wide range of options including gluten free and vegetarian / vegan options all clearly labelled. They also have takeaway cups for coffee to go.
All in all, would recommend this to anyone who's having a short stay in Oslo that appreciates the convenient location and decent breakfast."

GGuest UserThis hotel is very good, the breakfast is even more rich, there is a parking lot, there is also a supermarket around the corner, there are many things to buy, it is worth recommending. This time on a business trip to Europe, this hotel is the most cost-effective, because we rented a car, it is very convenient to drive in and out
GGuest UserThe hotel is so beautiful. Really so beautiful. The architecture, furniture and lighting design are all exquisite.
Art deco style of 1931
Smart elevator control and high-tech lighting control of 2024
The guy at the door is too handsome. The hotel service is very good
The best hotel in Oslo, very cost-effective, very worth staying
The tak Japanese restaurant upstairs overlooks the whole city. The sushi, sashimi and cocktails taste very good
Be sure to order breakfast included. Eat in Figure 1
The hotel is near the wealthy area and there are many restaurant options
GGuest UserWhen I checked in, the front desk didn't check that I paid on Ctrip, so I made a mistake... I received a refund when I returned to the room (I saw some reviews saying this, so friends who check in should pay attention)
But everything else is good!
The service at the front desk and the restaurant is very nice
The room is not big but very clean (please bring your own toiletries and slippers, which are not provided here in Northern Europe)
Breakfast is one of the highlights here. The omelette mixed with mashed potatoes is worth trying. The other flavors are also very good and rich! And not very salty... God knows I would be killed by the salt in Norway
The location is also very good, 5 minutes walk to the train station, next to Munch and the Opera House
There is a Japanese ramen restaurant nearby, which is also delicious~
In short, it is a good choice

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my 2 nights stay in Oslo Citybox. It’s superbly conveniently located minutes from the train station. Plenty of food nearby and couple of minutes from the main shopping street including the luxury brands. There is a foosball table, table tennis table, darts for family fun, in addition to card games and chess. There’s a kitchen where kettle and microwave are available, in addition to vending machine for small snacks. Highly recommended!

BBillNot a good experience at Numa Hallen. NOT RECOMMENDED. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. However, the “hotel” is not supported by any staff.
The digital check in failed initially. We did not receive the check in email as advised. Maybe if you book directly with Numa, not a third party like Trip, this might work. Don’t know. We rang the web site and Trip advertised phone number to get a check in email. It is disconnected. This defect is recorded in previous reviews, Does anyone read these complaints?
Read the previous reviews and noted the WhatsAPP number to be found at door front. Was ready for this we thought. The WhatsAPP number only has a virtual attendant. So no verbal communication available only short text messages readable. Jumped through many hoops and eventually received our check in details on the kerb outside the hotel. Thought we would be sleeping on the street for a while.
Once inside we noted the big sign in kitchen about leaving a window open when cooking. Next morning all fire alarms in the hotel section went off. A closed window somewhere perhaps. Alarm couldn’t be shut off so we evacuated with our bags like many others. Guess it must happen often due to the prominence of the sign.
The experience wasn’t good and is a great example of technology making life more difficult. The quest to remove people from hospitality jobs diminishes the hospitality aspect. It also leaves no backup except for meaningless, valueless, unaccountable apologies.
The communications failures and fire alarm intrusion are significant infrastructure short comings.
Wouldn’t stay there again.

GGuest UserThe location was conveniently close to major sites like Oslo's Central station and all the attractions in Karl Johan's Gate. We could see both the Oslo Opera House, Munch Museum and Oslofjord from our room's window. It is a short walk to many good restaurants, cafes and shops as well as some convenience stores. The area is pretty walkable but you just have to watch out for uneven pavement. Bus 30 has a stop right in front of the hotel and many of the museums worth making a trip out of the city centre for are on this route.
The ”barception” combines both a bar and a reception area. There is plenty of seating in the lobby which also functions as the breakfast area in the morning. The reception desk also has a small convenience store where you can purchase snacks, drinks and some sandwiches but it is a little bit pricier than the nearby convenience stores and supermarkets. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly during our stay and we visited a few times and received information and assistance quickly. We were initially worried because there was only one working elevator during our stay but that was only an issue a couple of times.
We liked our room with the furnishings provided but would say it is very dim. We got a corner room which had a work space, a bench by the window, a chair and a good sized bed. We appreciated that there were several coat hooks on the walls to hang our winter clothing on when we visited. The hotel promotes sustainability throughout and while the lighting is perfect in the hallways and common areas we found our three small lights and two bedside lamps did not provide enough lighting in the evening which comes early in December. The TV was a big flat screen but unfortunately the smart features were disabled and the programming available is a little dry at this hotel.
The amenities at the hotel are sufficient but I booked believing that there would be laundry facilities on site which there isn't. They recommended going to a sister property which was about a 10-15 minute walk away and online had one laundry machine and we were lucky not to have to wait long to get it done. Kettles and extra pillows are available upon request.
Our favourite part of the bathroom was the heated floor which made the bathroom nice and cozy. The shower had swinging doors on both sides which helped open up the space when it wasn't in use but it didn't provide a perfect seal to keep the water in during a shower. Thankfully the heated floor helped evaporate the overflow quickly. The shower pressure was good but it was initially tricky to get the right temperature. We appreciated that there was plenty of counter space in the bathroom which made up for the lack of ventilation so use the toilet wisely.
The breakfast was pretty good. There was a good variety of hot and cold items including smoked salmon, pancakes, chia seed cups, overnight oats, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese and an area to make your own yoghurt bowl with toppings. They also had a tea/coffee area with plenty of additives like non-sugar sweeteners and creamed honey. We liked the fruit platters but found by the time we went they were largely picked over and they were the less desirable pieces leftover. We started each of our days off right with a decent breakfast each morning.
Comfort Hotel has seemingly taken over Oslo in this area and there are quite a few locations. We picked this hotel because it was pretty central for our itinerary, was fairly priced and it has decent sized rooms.

TThammarutThe bed is so comfortable. It's so clean. I really like the Nordic interior design and lighting in my room. But this neighbourhood is under major construction. A few buildings nearby are being demolished. Walk carefully when you go out.

SShauna McFaulFor our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit.
My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in.
Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go.
We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel.
I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!
PPetreThe hotel is located at 5-6 minutes relaxed walking from the train station - just near the sea. It has a small lobby, but we could also use some tables of its restaurant, while enjoying free coffee or tea throughout the day. It also offers light dinner included in the price and it was one of the reasons I selected it. The dinner includes buffet of few salads and amazing dressings, as well a daily soup, a meal and freshly baked bread. The breakfast was very tasty, beautifully decorated on a small table - including varieties of options for every taste, immediately re-filled when emptied. Everything offered was of a high quality.
There is also a free gym and sauna.
The room is not big, but is sufficient. Nice decoration. Not too big beds in a twin. The toilet is quite tiny, with intelligent shower cabin.
Nice huge windows with sun the whole day long. Surprisingly - there was no fridge. The TV had only few, national channels.
All staff members are very polite and helpful.
I got the room immediately on arrival - few hours before official check-in time. The check-out is really fine - set at noon. There is very small, but free luggage room.
Finally - I got very good price for it on Trip.com, compared to the other providers.

AAdaline MasudaTruly one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated and comfortable throughout. When we arrived at the hotel it was 11AM, so I mentioned to the front desk staff that I know it was far too early for us to receive our room (check in is typically at 3PM) and that we would like to simply drop off our bags. Without any special requests, the front desk staff immediately prepared our room keys of us to check in right away, which was hugely appreciated since we had caught a very early morning flight in. We loved the room. It was very comfortable for the 3 of us, although a bit tight but that's what we expected for hotel rooms in Europe. The bathroom was well fitted and had all the basic toiletries required (shampoo, body wash, hand soap), however we hoped to have body lotion as well, so we asked housekeeping whether any was available and they immediately brought 3 LARGE bottles for each of us to use. I have never seen such massive toiletries and in such generous quantities supplied at any hotel before, which again made us feel very well taken care of. Finally on our check out day our flight was not until 6PM and since checkout is typically at 11AM I requested for just a 1 hr extension. Although they were very busy for it being the beginning of summer holidays, without any hesitation the front desk staff extended our checkout time to 3PM. I was once again very pleasantly surprised and appreciative. My last note is to touch on the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby, as well as the fabulous buffet breakfast they served. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
